Princess Michael of Kent wore the patch over her left eye while attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace
Usually known for her glamorous accessories, Princess Michael of Kent stepped out at a Buckingham Palace garden party yesterday with a unique addition to her otherwise polished ensemble.
The Czech-born princess wore a black eye-patch over her left eye after recent surgery, but still beamed in a pair of ornate diamond-studded earrings with a statement pearl necklace.
The 70-year-old wife of the Queen’s cousin, who is also known as Princess Pushy due to her opinionated views, underwent eye surgery last week, and is expected to be wearing the patch for the next month.
With the patch delicately concealed under a large brimmed hat, the princess seemed to enjoy the summer bash in a demure monochrome outfit with matching structured blazer.
The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh hosted the annual summer party and were joined in a rare royal appearance by Prince Andrew’s 26-year-old daughter, Princess Beatrice.
